Team Overview
This role involves advanced data analysis using SQL and Spark SQL, supporting ETL setup, and driving insights for business teams. intermediate-level knowledge of Linux commands and cloud environments, and solid experience in data reporting. The ability to understand and analyze Java logs is essential for this role. It is not a Data Engineering or development role. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize complex SQL/Spark SQL queries for large datasets.
- Lead ETL setup and data pipeline validation efforts.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data solutions.
- Mentor junior analysts and review their work.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Utilize Linux commands for system operations, troubleshooting, and deployment tasks.
- Work within cloud environments (AWS, GCP) to manage infrastructure, data workflows, and deployments.
- Create and maintain data reports and dashboards.
Analyze Java logs to identify and try to resolve performance bottlenecks and application issues.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Required Skills:
- 6+ years of experience in SQL, Spark SQL, Unix commands and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data modeling.
- Experience with large-scale data environments (e.g., GCP, AWS).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
