About the team and the role:

eBay is seeking a seasoned manager for its third-party partnerships in the US to take ownership for identifying, onboarding, and managing relationships with strategic software partners who work with our B2C sellers! In this role, you will identify both new partners and new opportunities to collaborate with existing partners. You will work with Merchant Integration and Developer Technical Support to ensure new partners onboard successfully and that existing partners build and maintain robust connections our platform, adopting the latest product offerings to ensure our joint sellers' success. You will also cultivate and manage long-term relationships with our partners, gathering feedback, advocating for seller and partner needs, and building collaborative programs to drive balanced growth in our marketplace. Additionally, as part of a global team, you'll contribute to the creation, implementation, and management of standardized approaches that demonstrate standard processes.

What you will accomplish:

  • Develop, in alignment with the team, partner management strategies, account plans, and portfolio coverage to effectively manage and strengthen relationships with partners
  • Identify and explore new opportunities for growth with new and existing partners; assess alignment with organizational goals; and successfully implement plans to achieve results
  • Understand partners' businesses, strategies, and products; gather partner feedback, both commercial- and product-focused; leverage feedback and analytics to advocate for partners and liaise between partners and internal teams, including Product, Domain teams, and Program Management
  • Monitor ongoing performance of partners, identifying concerns, and acting to address them in a timely manner
  • Promote and drive action related to eBay's partner program, including product adoption, optimization efforts, and other performance-focused activities
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with key partners, partnering with Legal, Finance, and other internal teams, as needed
  • Contribute to management of team budgets for marketing and support
  • Participate in, and at times speak at, key partner events
  • Improve partner engagement and satisfaction with eBay

What you will bring:

  • 5 years of account management, partnership management, or business development experience
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience implementing relationship management strategies with B2B partners
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and successfully using opportunities with new and existing strategic partners
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill complex scenarios and translate between technical and commercial parties at all levels, both internal and external
  • Knowledge of technical operations of an ecommerce marketplace, including basic knowledge of APIs and connectivity
  • Demonstrated data-driven, analytical approach to decision-making; willingness to make decisions quickly, gather results, and pivot
  • Openness to change and experience identifying and implementing new processes and standard methodologies

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$106,800 - $162,800

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
