Position Summary:

This position is in support of the NASA KLXS contract at Kennedy Space Center on the Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Artemis Program. The successful candidate will have advanced Configuration Management / Document Management expertise understanding configuration management principals, concepts, and techniques to ensure compliance for Configuration Management Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Change Management, Configuration Status Accounting, and Configuration Verification and Audits for flight and ground systems.


 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide ICM support and guidance utilizing the Change Management Workflow (CMW) tool, as the Change Package Manager, to the Change Package Engineers, to facilitate documentation throughout the Change Review process (e.g., Change Request, Products, Directives, Directive Actions, and Action Closures, etc.).
  • Perform verification and validation of Cradle Requirements generated by the use of the Requirements / Stakeholder Expectations / Verification / Validation Reports. Coordinate all discrepancies with the Ground Integration Engineers and the Cradle Administrator for resolution.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain Distribution Lists, Desk Instructions, Forms, Procedures, Processes, Quick Reference Guides, and Templates utilized by the ICM Team.
  • Experience in SharePoint (SP) Designer, Site, Access, and Permissions Administrator for multiple EGS SP sites and provide ICM support to NASA customers for multiple EGS Program Milestone Reviews (e.g., Checkpoints, Critical Design Reviews, etc.). 
  • Support internal and external customers (e.g., NASA Directorates, Contractors, Sub-contractors, Integrated Configuration Management Working Group (ICMWG) and the ICMWG Data Integrator Team, etc.) performing assessments of data integration improvements and to ensure ICM requirements are effectively integrated into the EGS Program policies and processes, as well as the Cross-Program database to reduce redundant key entries.
  • Review, identify, and resolve issues associated with ICM Deliverables/Receivables in support of major EGS Program Milestone Technical Reviews (e.g., Operation Test Readiness Review, System Integration Review, System Acceptance Review, Operation Readiness Review, etc.).
  • Analyze and implement solutions for process improvement initiatives employing best practices.

 Required Experience and Skills:

  • 6-10 years of Integrated Configuration Management experience
  • Experience in mentoring/coaching others

  • Prior NASA/KSC experience; direct EGS Program experience is a plus

Education

  • 10 + years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Engineering, Science or Math is preferred or

Personal attributes, special aptitudes, physical requirements, and personality traits

  • Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to efficiently multitask
