Job Summary

The Conference Technology Team Lead administers the daily technical and operational support for all audio-visual equipment activities in the Washington DC office. Additionally, this role assists the Manager of Conference Services in providing comprehensive conference technology support to the DC customer community, including the maintenance of conference room technology equipment and supporting technologies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the Conference Technology team in AV service delivery and daily operations.
  • Assists IT management in creating and implementing support policies and procedures.
  • Tracks and documents meeting progress and technical issues in real-time using co-authorable documents for team awareness.
  • Determines the cause of customer dissatisfaction involving conference technology and makes immediate corrections where applicable.
  • Continually improves client service through prompt, accurate, and creative technology solutions.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and identifies all audio/visual equipment and connectivity issues.
  • Promptly communicates to firm attorneys and staff about any disruptions to AV service delivery.
  • Maintains AV equipment inventories and oversees inventory e-recycling.
  • Monitors and manages videoconference endpoints firmwide using Pexip Control Center.
  • Provides monthly metrics, and maintains logs of support activity, including VTC usage and conference room technology setups.
  • Creates and maintains instructional documentation and standard operating procedures for AV hardware configuration and maintenance.
  • Develops guidelines for supporting meetings and events, to ensure ease of use and adherence by meeting owners/requestors.
  • Performs routine inventory asset management and accountability assessment, and manages support tickets using a workflow management system.
  • Continually improves technical proficiency through research, self-training, and participation in training opportunities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced hands-on experience with video conferencing technologies: Poly, Extron, Crestron control, IP Protocols, Pexip AV bridging services, Video and Voice over IP.
  • Ability to use and configure the EMS conference management software.
  • Advanced technical skills, including administering collaborative video teleconferencing systems (such as MS Teams and Zoom), telecommunications, advanced networking, Unified Communication systems and software knowledge.
  • Ability to manage audio and video needs for large, in-person events.
  • Advanced knowledge of AV recording technology, file formats, simple editing, compression, and content streaming.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge or guidance, analyze and interpret data from several sources, solve problems by applying precedent or extrapolating from previous experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with attorneys, staff and vendors.
  • Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail, with a focus on continual process improvement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a cooperative, enthusiastic, and friendly manner to achieve team goals and fulfill position responsibilities.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining productivity and commitment, consistently meeting deadlines and effectively managing workload.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions or develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Knowledge of wireless access points, VLANs and basic network device configuration.
  • Advanced knowledge configuring and maintaining, Extron, Crestron, Poly, MS Teams, Zoom and various UC/VTC technologies.
  • Fundamental knowledge of sound reinforcement for AV conferencing and distance learning, utilizing features such as echo-cancellation, gain control/management.
  • Ability to safely lift, move and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.


Education

The position requires a High School Diploma and two (2) years of technical school/college. Equivalent training and experience may substitute for education.

Experience

The position requires a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with personal computers, laptops and audio/visual equipment in a networked environment.

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance with applicable laws. The pay range for this position is $72,000-$95,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on location, market data, an applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
