The Role: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive the development and success of our dispute resolution platform. Responsibilities for this role include designing, building, and maintaining full-stack applications, ensuring performance and scalability, and contributing to both front-end and back-end development.
You'll work closely with our product, design, engineering, and customer success teams to deliver impactful features and enhancements. As an integral part of a remote-first team, you’ll collaborate across departments to shape the product roadmap and push our mission forward.
Engineering excellence is vital to our long-term success. Your contributions will play a key role in scaling our platform and ensuring a seamless experience for our users, ultimately helping New Era ADR disrupt the legal industry.
This is a remote-friendly position for individuals located in the United States, with a preference for those who can collaborate across time zones. We value unique perspectives brought by diverse backgrounds and experiences and believe that diverse viewpoints strengthen our product, team, and mission.
Must Haves
- Full-stack experience (comfortable with both front-end and back-end development)
- 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- Proven track record of building 0-1 products, especially with a cross-functional team
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Team player with a growth mindset
- Ability to work fully remote, collaborating across time zones
Nice to Haves
- Experience working at an early-stage startup
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Heroku)
- Interest in legal tech or experience in the legal industry
