What You'll Do:
- Compounds and prepares medications based on receipt of prescription orders
- Works to help manage pharmacy inventory management, prescription compounding, dispensing processes, supply management and delivery processes
- Ensures that all procedures, records, and pharmacy non-sterile labs are in compliance with all state, federal, and industry standard requirements
- Ensures that no outdated drugs are dispensed or maintained within the active inventory of the pharmacy, including prescription and related nonprescription items
- Receives stock and manages inventory, including but not limited to record-keeping
- Takes directions and follows through with mandates by the company made by the Pharmacist-in-Charge, Lead Compounding Specialist and leadership
- Provides management with routine updates regarding the productivity and efficiency of operations
- Follows written policies and procedures to establish responsibilities of pharmacy technicians and other personnel in area
- Develops a system to assure that all pharmacy personnel responsible for compounding and/or supervising the compounding of pharmaceuticals within the pharmacy receive appropriate education, training, and competency evaluation
- Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy
- Helps create a culture of continuous improvement and actively helps drive a team-oriented environment
- Ensures all licensing requirements are up to date per state and federal requirements
- Maintains up to date knowledge on industry trends and technologies
- Performs other job-related duties as required
- Nonsterile compounding certification, or willingness to complete certification coursework assigned by Ro within 6 months of starting role
What You'll Bring:
- USP 795 experience preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in a compounding role preferred, but not required
- Highly independent and autonomous
- Pharm D from an Accredited College of Pharmacy
- Active and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the state of Florida
- Strong, metric driven operator who works well in a team environment
- Excitement and willingness around learning and continuously improving your compounding skills
- Ability to work between the hours of 7-5PMET from Monday-Friday
