About This Role

This role is responsible for drafting, submitting, monitoring, and maintaining certain legal, financial, operational, regulatory, and commercial filings and data inputs needed for various NAM company activities. Other skills include researching regulations including safety, environmental and other U.S. and Canadian law. The position will also support standards certifications, and health and safety filings for the North American sites and operations. The role requires excellent organizational and legal research skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and especially collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role will contribute to the legal department's efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements while interfacing with many other company departments.

 

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

•    Assist in drafting, reviewing, and submitting several categories of online customer, vendor, and governmental data inputs.

•    Researching, monitoring, and maintaining various regulatory submissions that intersect with the finance, operations, environmental and legal functions.

•    Support compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

•    Handle electronic administrative tasks such as data input into third party online portals, file management, and general data management. 

•    Monitor changes in U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements and proactively communicate potential impacts to relevant business functions. 

•    Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Human Resources teams to gather, validate, and maintain information required for regulatory, compliance, and commercial filings.

•    Support the preparation, maintenance, and organization of corporate records, compliance documentation, licenses, permits, and certifications.


Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

•    A minimum of 3 years of database/portal submissions and experience working in a regulatory environment required. 
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred. Paralegal certification is not required.
•    Working experience with electrical manufacturing clients who produce and service un-interruptible power supply products, power distribution units, power metering and monitoring, transformers and switches strongly desired but not required.  
•    Strong, independent writing and oral communication skills, as well as superior analysis skills.  
•    Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
•    Ability to gain knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to compliance.
•    Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
•    Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and previous experience with submissions to third party online portal including governmental portals.
•    Strong ethical standards and professionalism.

•    This role is located in an office environment with occasional need to visit the manufacturing environment
•    Ability to travel to international destinations; must possess and maintain a valid passport for international travel.
•    Comfortable operating across multiple time zones and global teams
