What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze and interpret laws and regulations to determine impact on new and existing business lines, policies, products, procedures and services
  • Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures
  • Effectively communicate regulatory and procedural changes and/or important issues to affected business units and build strong relationships with business partners
  • Perform audits, with directional assistance from manager or supervisor assistance, of products, procedures and services to meet internal company standards and ensure compliance in all areas
  • Research and respond to customer and/or regulatory inquiries or investigations about compliance and/or company issues
  • Monitor trading activities of firm employees
  • Maintain internal compliance materials such as manuals and websites
  • Provide guidance and/or training to other positions in the compliance area
  • Provide regular management reports and periodic updates on issues and project status
  • Monitor daily trading activity across various asset classes (equities, options, fixed income) to detect unusual behavior or possible rule violations such as spoofing, layering, insider trading, etc.
  • Review and investigate surveillance alerts and exception reports. Document findings clearly and escalate when necessary
  • Develop and refine surveillance scenarios, thresholds, and parameters to enhance detection capabilities
  • Prepare investigation reports and maintain organized records of all review activities
  • Assist with regulatory exams and support responses to regulatory inquiries related to the Firm's trading activities
What You’ll Need:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a trade surveillance, market surveillance or general compliance role within the financial industry
  • Working knowledge or familiarity with Excel macros, Python, SQL
  • Strong analytical skills to understand project goals and interpret them into meaningful actions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and re-prioritize workloads as necessary
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to successfully interface with all levels of management and maintain solid working relationships in a collaborative group environment
  • Inquisitive mindset, with experience analyzing data and present a credible challenge to 1st and 2nd line colleagues on potential issues
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • "Can do" attitude with the ability to work and research issues with moderate to minimal oversight

Nice To Have, But Not Required:

  • General understanding of broker operations and knowledge of securities rules and regulations
  • Experience responding to regulatory inquiries or exams (e.g., FINRA, SEC, or Exchanges) 
  • Working knowledge of U.S. trading regulations and market structure, especially for equities, options, fixed income, trade and regulatory reporting

Compensation
Compensation package offerings are based on candidate experience and technical qualifications, as it relates to the role. These are identified and determined throughout your interviewing experience.

Lithuania pay range
€2.800€3.300 EUR
