What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software features and services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that meets specification and adheres to company development standards.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Performs problem/task isolation, analysis, research, and resolution with minimum assistance.
• Debug and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to architectural design and technical design discussions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Domain knowledge in the travel industry (e.g., GDS systems, booking platforms, travel management or e-commerce) is a plus.
• Strong experience in developing enterprise applications. Ability to deliver software and artefacts independently.
• Driving the maintenance and enhancement efforts in Compleat which is Amex GBT’s mid office PNR processing engine.
• Expertise on the Microsoft technology stack (.NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, SQL Server)
• Good knowledge of client-side scripting – React, JavaScript and jQuery
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub).
• Solid understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and development. Knowledge of design patterns is a plus.
• Good understanding of project architecture and software development processes and lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that are coupled with strong communication, anticipation of issues and dealing with them proactively.
• Is team oriented, highly collaborative, works effectively to build strong long-term partnerships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across a variety of business and IT functions.
• Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies in line with GBT company growth plan and strategy – Power Up.
• Generating reports and providing status updates to leaders and peers.
