Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Compensation Consultant to join our Compensation Team, supporting our Global Technology organization. As a member of the global compensation team, this role supports Firmwide Compensation programs, processes, and practices, and partners closely with a variety of HR COEs, including HR Business Partners (HRBP), Talent Acquisition (TA), HR Legal, Employee Relations and Talent & Development, in the delivery of Firmwide compensation initiatives.
In this role, you will provide HRBPs and business leaders with compensation-related consultative guidance, analysis and support. Specific areas of focus will include supporting funding model scenarios, bonus and salary projections, planning budgets, salary and bonus compensation planning, reconciliations, administering promotion programs and new hire offers, and market pricing in global markets with delivery of market trends analysis and reporting.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Support and participate in ongoing review of compensation practices, policies, and processes.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to develop competitive compensation offers for new hires.
- Support the execution of the Total Compensation Planning cycle for the Technology organization, in partnership with HRBPs.
- Execute the compensation market survey process for assigned groups and benchmark BBH jobs and practices to external market surveys.
- Track key issues and trends in compensation, by participating in industry groups, conducting benchmarking studies, and gathering market intelligence from Recruiters.
- Analyze data from external and internal sources to support the preparation of competitive intelligence summaries and compensation strategy recommendations to business.
- Review new and existing job descriptions and level to appropriate grade in the BBH job hierarchy; ensure job leveling is compliant with Employee Relations job leveling recommended practices and Department of Labor requirements.
- Support compensation related projects such as compensation program design and implementation, external benchmarking studies, functional promotion review, and development of compensation communications
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years compensation experience; CCP certification (in process or achieved) required; experience within financial services industry a plus
- Strong knowledge of compensation best practices; experience with Pay Equity Analysis principles and methodology desired
- Experience working with McLagan, Radford and Korn Ferry surveys and databases a plus
- Knowledge of Job Architecture Framework development or project execution a plus
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills
- Experience with Workday & People fluent

This role can be based in either our New York, New Jersey or Boston locations and will be a hybrid role, with three days in office

Salary Range
$135k-$160k base salary + annual bonus target
BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
