Job Duties and Responsibilities
Echostar is seeking a dynamic and creative Community Manager to manage our support presence on Reddit. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with users, fostering positive conversations and care related issues, managing support-related content, and creating a strong sense of community around our products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, and billing to solve complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and moderate the company's Reddit presence
- Actively engage with Redditors by responding to comments, addressing questions and issues around care related problems, and participating in discussions related to the wireless industry and our products
- Monitor sentiment, trends and provide insights to the broader customer support and product teams
- Partner cross-functionally to solve complex customer issues and prevent repeat issues
- Design, prioritize, and execute projects that drive Customer Experience Operations (CXO) and the strategic objectives
- Develop and implement content strategies tailored to Reddit's unique culture and user base
- Create and curate engaging support content (posts, AMAs, polls, etc.) that informs, entertains, and educates the community about trouble shooting and product issues
- Handle any crisis situations, customer complaints, or negative sentiment in a calm, professional, and solution-oriented manner
- Serve as the voice of the community internally, helping to inform decisions around product improvements and customer experience enhancements
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or a communications field or 4+ years of relevant experience
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Reddit's culture, subreddits, and community dynamics
- Social media, chat, or email customer service experience (experience responding to customers on Reddit preferred)
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to engage and connect with a wide variety of users in an authentic, relatable way
- Passion for wireless technology, mobile products, and consumer electronics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track metrics, analyze data, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Experience with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and Sprinkr a plus
- A proactive, customer-centric approach with a positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Reddit's rules and guidelines, as well as how to handle sensitive or negative discussions effectively

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
