Overall Purpose Of The Job
The Communications Specialist will help develop targeted communications programs to help educate and inform
key constituents, internally and externally, about International SOS Government Medical Services. This includes
developing product information sheets, presentations, award nominations, e-blasts, advertising, web-based
education sessions, website content management system updates, and other communications related to our
Government Medical Services business. The Communications Specialist will coordinate industry sponsorships,
tradeshows/conferences and events, and maintain the Marketing Communications budget, including processing all
purchase requests, price justification sheets, and tracking expenditures against the approved FY budget. The
Communications Specialist will deliver expert communications support for existing and newly awarded Government
Medical Services programs, assisting in the areas of employee engagement and retention, change management,
Government Relations and Public Affairs, and client-facing communications for key internal and external
constituents, with additional duties as assigned.
The Communications Specialist will be a key member of the Government Medical Services Team, working closely
with the Global Communications teams, Head of Departments as well as with marketing peers from the Americas
Region and Group Marketing. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to overall strategy development
and tactical execution of communications initiatives designed to benefit service delivery and performance against key contract deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop targeted internal- and external-facing communications, as directed.• Develop branded templates for standard operating procedures, business policies and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reports.• Manage web content updates and message development, using the Sitecore content management system (CMS).• Collaborate with senior leadership and regional program management, medical, operations, and other cross- functional staff to develop compelling presentations for internal and external audiences.• Assist in the creation of display advertisements for a variety of forums, events, and other industry- facing communications.• Solicit global and regional staff for photos, summaries, trip reports, and engagement summaries for employee newsletters and articles.• Review contract modifications and policy changes to help assess potential impact on communications for internal and external audiences.• Coordinate tradeshow participation, including exhibit and display, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, and other business development initiatives, as identified.• Work with Human Resources and the Leadership Committee to develop branded templates and other communications tools to promote employee engagement, retention, and interest.• Contribute and maintain content updates on SharePoint and Government Medical Services to help facilitate internal camaraderie and open communication.• Maintain the Marketing Communications budget, tracking against FY approved expenses.• Other duties and tasks, as assigned.• Working with subject matter experts to synthesize complex information into a piece of written strategic communications.• Creating executive presentations for internal and external stakeholders, as well as Board Meetings.• Self-starter with executive presence.• Ability to establish process and craft an effective Comms strategy in this newly created position.• Government contracting experience preferred

intensive attention to detail and emphasis on "right first time" to optimize productivity and ensure satisfaction among all constituents.• Proficient with the full suite of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Visio.• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially In Design, Illustrator, and Photo Shop considered a plus.• Competence with Sitecore Content Management System (CMS) or similar web publishing and HTML- based CMS programs preferable.• Problem-solving capabilities for self and others within the communications team.• Strong business acumen and ability to interface with all levels of leadership and cross-functional staff; familiarity operating within a matrix organization preferred.• Team player with demonstrated project management skills delivering a variety of creative communications initiatives with minimal supervision.

Required Work Experience
- Proven experience in business communications, creative design, and project development; familiarity with health care administration or Government Medical Services contracts desirable.
- Proven ability to adapt to new industries/environments and workplace cultures. Embraces new challenges and quickly familiarizes oneself, in terms of company, organizational structure, business goals, and internal/external stakeholder expectations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or higher in Communications, English or Business/Marketing.• 3-5 years of progressively responsible work experience in fast-paced Marketing Communications environment.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.• Highly organized and self-motivated; ability to juggle multiple competing priorities while simultaneously meeting or exceeding deadlines.• Ability to work independently and build rapport across regions, keeping others on-task and accountable for overall project delivery.• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Share Point, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with In Design, Illustrator, and Photo Shop considered a plus.• Competence with the Sitecore Content Management System (CMS) or similar web publishing and HTML-based CMS programs preferable.
Required Languages
Travel to other Intl.SOS offices, tradeshows/events and client meetings may be required.
