Dispense and manage medications in outpatient and emergent settings while counseling patients and advising clinicians on medication safety. Establish pharmacy operations, manage formularies, controlled medications, inventory, cold-chain storage, records, audits, and regulatory compliance. Chair the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, monitor medication errors and adverse reactions, implement quality improvements, and participate in multidisciplinary committees and mass-casualty drills. The assignment is onsite in Balad, Iraq, requires relocation and on-call availability.

Provides hands-on nursing leadership in Iraq by coordinating daily unit operations, supervising and mentoring nursing staff, supporting interdisciplinary care planning, assessing patient and staffing needs, ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance, and promoting patient safety, effective communication, and high-quality outcomes.

Respond to disaster activations to supervise and develop safety staff, implement and maintain OHS policies, conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, deliver training, ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Joint Commission), and support onsite safety operations until mission conclusion.

Provide comprehensive acute and emergency medical care in a remote austere environment, lead clinical governance and medical staff, manage medical evacuations, maintain compliance and medical records, supervise clinic operations, and coordinate logistics and supplies.

Verify and dispense prescriptions in a high-volume, automated central-fill/mail-order pharmacy. Perform drug utilization review, quality assurance, supervise pharmacy technicians, ensure compliance with regulations, handle controlled substances, and support automated dispensing, packaging, and labeling workflows to ensure timely, safe medication delivery for Veterans nationwide.

Provide broad emergency and general surgical care for U.S. government personnel in Iraq, leading perioperative management, trauma response, and multidisciplinary coordination. Perform diverse operative cases, ensure documentation and protocol compliance, and educate patients and families on procedures and recovery.

Provide diagnostic ultrasound exams and preliminary interpretation in a deployed healthcare setting supporting U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, manage imaging workflow and documentation, support quality/accreditation activities, educate staff, and maintain equipment and patient-centered care under deployment conditions.
