THE ROLE
The Commercial Analyst role sits within the Commercial team at WiseEnergy. It is a broad commercial role focusing on the general and wide assets management, including but not limited to the management of revenues, regulatory, and contractual issues for portfolios of assets in Poland, in which a commercial or contractual background with knowledge of PPA and revenue management within renewables and ability to review contracts (i.a. EPC, O&M, leases) would be highly advantageous.
It is a permanent, full-time role, starting as soon as possible and reporting to the Commercial Manager. The successful candidate will be home based, working fully remotely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the management of different streams of revenue of each project such as PPAs, CfD and Guarantees of Origin
- Cooperation with the other Wise Teams, mainly Technical and Financial, as well as management of relationships with third parties, especially contractors, clients, brokers and advisors
- Maintaining solar plant regulatory compliance as well as compliance with contractual requirements including drafting and issuing formal notices/communications, and if required, investigating non-compliance and resolution
- Managing project company contract renewals and tendering, including but not limited to contract reviewing and negotiation, as well as preparing annexes or termination notices
- In coordination with the Finance team, preparation of project revenue budgets as well as support the development of asset operating budgets
- Responsible for budget follow-up and management, coordinating with the company's finance team the validation of costs and revenues
- Supporting the management of insurance renewals and claims
- Supporting the management of property agreements, e.g. land leases, and relationships with landowners
- Supporting Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) compliance and delivery
- Supporting the company’s in-house ‘onboarding’ process for new sites with a specific focus on understanding contracts and working internally with WiseEnergy’s Finance and Technical teams to: ensure a seamless transition into WiseEnergy; extraction of relevant information into the company’s bespoke contract management software; supporting the creation of respective Onboarding Report and Operating Plans; and smooth management throughout the life of each respective agreement
- Updating and continued development of the company’s in-house Asset Management Platform (AMP) software as required, working with Commercial teams in London, Milan and Hyderabad as necessary and with the in-house Technology team
- Supporting annual Asset Operating Plans with relevant contract management information and reviews
- Reporting to the client, internally and externally as required
- Approving contractual invoices
- Ad hoc commercial projects
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Time management & prioritization skills - things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical.
- Excellent communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling. You will be expected to together well-written, grammatically correct emails and other communications. When communicating verbally – whether over the phone, on video calls, in person or in meetings – you will need to be articulate, warm and engaging.
- Flexibility - being an effective team player means being flexible in your approach and open to getting involved with new things, even if they are not spelled out in your job description.
- Intellectual Curiosity – Technical Management is a broad and nuanced field and we are looking for someone who is truly interested in our profession and has the intellectual curiosity to delve deep into topics and bring fresh ideas into the team.
- IT Literacy - you need to be comfortable with IT systems and working with data (you should have at least intermediate-level excel).
- Delivery focus – it may sound obvious, but the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs really matters!
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2-3 years in a similar level role
- Polish speaker, fluent in English
- Bachelors’ degree
- Regulatory, property and contract knowledge and experience
- Advanced standard MS Office suite, notably Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Strong organisational, change management and business process skills
