The GMC Commandant of Cadets announces a full-time opening for a Commandant of Cadet Office Manager/Coordinator.Working under the direct supervision of the Commandant of Cadets and VP Deputy Commandant of Cadets, this position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Commandant's Office, overseeing departmental budgets and procurement, coordinating cadet housing operations, supporting recruitment and scholarship administration, planning Corps events, supervising support staff, and ensuring administrative compliance across the Corps of Cadets.
Primary Responsibilities:
Office Management & Administration
• Manage the daily operations of the Commandant of Cadets Office.
• Maintain office supplies and procurement requests.
• Submit and track engineering and IT work orders.
• Supervise one part-time employee and one FWS Cadet
• Manage calendars, meetings, and office correspondence.
• Provide outstanding customer service to cadets, families, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Financial & Budget Administration
• Manage departmental budgets, purchase orders, vendors, invoices, and procurement.
• Oversee Commandant Office credit cards and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain scholarship records and damage fee documentation.
Cadet Housing & Records
• Serve as Housing Manager for Baugh Barracks and 2 South Campus houses.
• Oversee room assignments.
• Coordinate cadet in-processing and out-processing.
• Maintain in-processing/out-processing packets.
• Maintain cadet records, disciplinary files, and electronic databases.
• Create and remove administrative holds on cadet records.
Cadet Administration & Support
• Track disciplinary actions and merit conversions.
• Assist cadets with admissions, scholarships, and administrative requirements.
• Proofread and assist with donor thank-you letters.
Events, Recruitment & Outreach
• Coordinate community service projects, fundraising events, receptions, Dining-In, and beginning and end-of-year receptions.
• Coordinate engineering, IT, catering, lodging, and travel logistics during events.
• Support recruitment by ordering promotional materials, managing recruitment budgets, and coordinating travel.
Compliance & Other Duties
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Commandant and Corps of Cadets.
