Role

Cluster Sales Manager will serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by leading all sales activities for the hotel, achieving and maximizing rooms revenue and profit targets, and growing and developing a loyal customer base on behalf of Aman Tokyo, Amanemu, Janu Tokyo and expected to have more in the future.

Responsibilities

  • The responsibilities of Cluster Sales Manager include generating revenues, establishing new accounts, maintaining relationships with existing accounts, monitoring booking pace, and booking repeat business while keeping quality of service consistently high.

  • Respond to incoming inquiries (not limited to group inquiries) by phone and written communication. Prepare proposals, negotiate with clients, and close contracts for all group bookings and VIPs.

  • Fully understands the relative importance and priority of his/her current account base, and manages, segments and prioritizes his/her efforts accordingly.

  • Assertively identify and develop potential new client contacts and generate revenues from these accounts.

  • Conduct regular planned sales visits to respective accounts.

  • Continually review the actual production of each account against the potential for that account. Continually review and develop the client base.

  • Ensure that all members of the team have the appropriate face-to-face selling skills to successfully do their job.

  • Ensure that the team effectively and efficiently updates all sales activities, reports and feedback.

  • Manage the team in the absence of Cluster Director of Sales and Cluster Senior Sales Manager.

  • Maintain accurate management status reporting on business results, and associated action planning.

  • Ensure all sales members of the team maintain an up-to-date personal knowledge of all Aman product and service offerings, including promotions. In addition, to be familiar with the products, services, rates new developments of our key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends.

  • Participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections and sales trips as required to meet the sales targets of the hotels.

  • Create and implement packages and promotions for need periods.

  • Liaise effectively with all operational colleagues, providing support and information to ensure accurate delivery of our promise.

  • Drive opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Aman products.

  • Maintain a full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolset.

  • Ensure that all administration work is processed quickly and efficiently.

  • Carry out any other work-related projects assigned by the Cluster Director of Sales.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry.

  • Experience managing multiple properties or clusters is a plus.

  • Fluency in English and Japanese, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong skills in sales strategy, negotiation, and presentation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to dynamic operational needs.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive guest or company information with integrity.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
