About this opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud Specialist to join our Cloud Platform & Operations (CPOS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of our cloud operations, while driving automation through CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Operations & Management
- Manage and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Monitor cloud environments for availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and cloud cost management.
- Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution for cloud-related issues.
- Maintain cloud governance policies, tagging standards, and compliance frameworks.
CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate deployment automation into delivery workflows.
- Ensure pipeline reliability, security scanning, and artifact management.
- Implement blue-green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain IaC templates using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep.
- Version control all infrastructure definitions using Git-based workflows.
- Enforce IaC best practices including modularity, reusability, and state management.
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and environment lifecycle management.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and manage IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access controls.
- Ensure data encryption at rest and in transit across all cloud environments.
- Work with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and maintain compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Conduct regular security audits and cloud configuration reviews.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with DevOps, development, security, and product teams within the CPOS function.
- Provide L2/L3 support for cloud infrastructure issues escalated from operations teams.
- Document architecture decisions, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident management processes.

Cloud Platforms (Hands-On Experience Required)
- AWS - Amazon Web Services (AWS):
- EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, ECS, CloudWatch, IAM, Route 53
- AWS Well-Architected Framework knowledge
- AWS certifications preferred (Solutions Architect, SysOps, DevOps Engineer)
- Azure - Microsoft Azure:
- Virtual Machines, AKS, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Key Vault, Azure AD
- Azure certifications preferred (AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-400)
- GCP - Google Cloud Platform (GCP):
- Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud IAM, Stackdriver
- GCP certifications preferred (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional DevOps Engineer)
CI/CD Tools
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Strong understanding of pipeline design, branching strategies, and release management.
- Experience with artifact repositories such as JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or AWS ECR.
- Familiarity with container build tools - Docker, Buildah, Kaniko.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Proficiency in Terraform (required) - modules, workspaces, remote state management.
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, or Pulumi is a plus.
- Configuration management experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Strong Git skills - branching, pull requests, code reviews for infrastructure changes.
Containers & Orchestration
- Solid understanding of Docker containerization and image management.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE).
- Familiarity with Helm charts, Kubernetes operators, and service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
Monitoring & Observability
- Experience with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Operations Suite.
- Familiarity with third-party tools: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
- Ability to design dashboards, alerts, and SLO/SLA tracking mechanisms.
Scripting & Automation
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience automating cloud operations, patching, and lifecycle management.
Nice to Have
- Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Exposure in managing security and Cloud NW
- Experience with GitOps workflows
- Knowledge of serverless architectures - AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Run.
- Prior experience supporting a CPOS, SRE, or Platform Engineering team.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
