What we do
Kentik is looking for a highly motivated Cloud Solutions Architect to support our growing team and help bring the Kentik solution to market. This role will report directly to the Field CTO. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Kentik’s most important technical teams. This candidate will work with some of the best and brightest engineers in the industry, and develop your skills within one of the most innovative companies in the networking space. Architects at Kentik have the opportunity to help shape our product strategy and enable a broad set of use cases by working directly with our prospects and customers.

The ideal candidate not only has a strong technical background with a focus in cloud and networking, but also has a proven ability to engage with the industry and provide thought leadership.
What you'll do
- Be an ambassador of the Kentik brand through public speaking engagements, blogs, podcasts, and webinars
- Attend trade shows, conferences, customer meetings and industry meetups
- Provide thought leadership to the industry in alignment with Kentik’s strategy and roadmap
- Engage with customers to identify trends and themes, and provide valuable feedback to the product team
- Help the field technical teams raise their knowledge on cloud architectures and Kenitk’s product value proposition in these environments
- Assist channel team in recruiting new channel partners to help Kentik bring our product to market
- Work in partnership with business development and technical alliances team to provide technical validation of joint solutions

- 7+ years of relevant technical / commercial experience
- 3+ years in a technical sales overlay role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to share previous content
- Ability to conduct technical conversations with prospects ranging from staff-level engineers and architects to senior executives
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud providers, such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong foundational level understanding of core networking technologies like routing, switching, and firewalling
- Willingness to travel globally as needed
Nice to haves
- Direct experience with one or more network observability suites (e.g. Kentik, Arbor/Netscout, SolarWinds, ManageEngine, Splunk, Nagios, Dynatrace, Catchpoint, etc.)
- Existing social media following and recognition as a thought leader in public cloud
- Comprehensive knowledge and awareness of industry competition, solutions, technologies, and product offerings
- Experience working in a SaaS environment
- Experience working in a pre-IPO startup environment

Our compensation philosophy encompasses a fair program for all in order to attract, engage and retain talented individuals who will drive our business and wow our customers.
The base salary range for this position is: $142,500 - $191,250, with an expected overall targeted earnings (OTE) range of: $190,000 - $255,000. The salary range and OTE reflect the low and high end of the U.S. range Kentik reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role. The actual salary offered may be lower or higher than the stated range depending on various factors, including but not limited to:
- Experience with the skill sets required for success
- Demonstrated competencies and potential
- A geographic market-based approach
