You will collaborate with experienced colleagues in a supportive, high‑impact environment, helping customers modernize their data estate and realize value from data and analytics investments across industries. In this role, you will use modern cloud data platforms and analytics capabilities to solve complex business challenges, while continuously learning and sharing best practices with your peers.

As a Cloud Solution Architect: Data & Analytics, you will help customers design and implement secure, scalable, and artificial intelligence‑ready solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will lead engagements that span architecture design, production deployments, and operational optimization to ensure performance, resiliency, and security across business‑critical workloads. You will accelerate adoption and satisfaction by using repeatable assets, delivery engines, and your own guidance, with a focus on services such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Databricks, Azure Databases, and Microsoft Purview. You will also work closely with local colleagues and global engineering teams, sharing insights and staying current with evolving trends to help customers unlock the full value of their data and artificial intelligence investments and inviting them to partner with your team on this journey.

Responsibilities
  •  Proactively identify new opportunities for cloud consumption and usage at scale, based on business value to the customer and a clear understanding of the Microsoft value proposition for supported data and analytics platforms to empower cloud success, strengthen security and resiliency, and drive artificial intelligence innovation. 
  • Drive a seamless and connected customer experience by defining conditions of success, anticipating and addressing dissatisfaction or unmet needs, and executing strategies that improve customer experience, value realization, and acceleration of data and analytics‑led transformation.
  • Guide customers towards well‑architected solutions for data and analytics that are secure, resilient, artificial intelligence‑enabled, and cost‑ and performance‑optimized, using proven methodologies, value‑based deliverables, and technical validation to prepare customers for operational readiness and sustainable adoption. 
  • Apply deep technical, industry, and enterprise knowledge to architecture and delivery projects, proactively identifying, escalating, and mitigating blockers and risks to accelerate deployment, value realization, and usage of data and analytics solutions.
  • Lead and contribute to virtual teams across Microsoft and partner organizations, sharing insights and patterns from customer engagements to inform offers, intellectual property, and improvement initiatives that scale data and analytics solutions and drive continuous learning.  

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 2+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 5+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 3+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 2+ years experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).

Cloud Solution Architecture IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $69,600 - CAD $132,500 per year.

  • 2+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure technologies, IT consulting or support, systems administration, network operations, software development or support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 2+ years of experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical cloud certification, such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, or security certifications.
