Job Summary

As a Platform Architect with DevOps experience, you will optimize the development and operational processes with a significant emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will empower the product engineering teams by implementing a base platform and the mechanisms that allow product teams to deploy their products to the cloud using a self-service model, while adhering to standards, best practices, and automation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developer experience, possess a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and production support while collaborating with a team of engineers to drive efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable base platform in the cloud and the mechanisms that allow product teams to deploy their products to the cloud using a self-service model using AWS infrastructure solutions and services such as EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, Glue, SQS, Lambda and Service Catalog;
• Develop and manage technical mechanism that empower product teams to deploy their products through a CI/CD pipeline, automating the software delivery process, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments;
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and enhance the overall software development lifecycle;
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security across the AWS platform;
• Implement best practices in infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and monitoring to ensure operational excellence;
• Manage incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues;
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team;
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures;
• Conduct proactive capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure optimal resource utilization;
• Enable product development teams to use the cloud platform through training and documentation.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrable experience implementing DevOps processes and CICD automation;
• Strong expertise in AWS services and architecture, with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).

Highly Desirable Skills

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash);
• Demonstrable experience with the following tools: Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack, Data Dog and Splunk;
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes;
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance frameworks within cloud environments.
