The Sales Engineering Group is the technical lifeblood of the Sales Organization. Our engineers bring to life the innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. As the solutions architecture, the Sales Engineering Groups have the technology and design responsibility for all sales support engagements nationwide.
Job Description
This position will be part of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team in Brazil.
● You will be responsible for working closely with the Sales Team to deliver customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of public safety, first responder, government, transportation, logistics, and enterprise customers across the country.
● Assist Sales and Customer with specific market strategies.
● Develop trusted relationships with work partners and customers.
● Conduct internal and external presentations.
● Interface with internal teams: Proposal Managers, Sales Managers, Field Engineering, Project Managers, and CSMs.
● Be accountable to the overall system design or solution with descriptions, diagrams, and equipment lists, meeting or exceeding the customer requirements.
● Issue RFQs (Request for Quote) for third-party content and support the procurement team in order to reach the best cost-benefit to MSI.
● The team concentrates on the following mission-critical communications technologies at various levels of complexity:
○ Mobile voice and data networks
○ Mobile broadband networks and devices
○ Software & Solutions: Dispatch Consoles, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Intelligence-Led Public Safety, Video and data analytics
Basic Requirements
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
The ideal candidate has the following skills and capabilities:
● A positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative, resourceful, and deliver results.
● Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
● Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
● Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo.
● Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset.
● Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures - both public and private (e.g. P25, TETRA, DMR, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) is highly desirable.
● Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols, and security is highly desirable.
● Strong knowledge of RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets is an asset.
● Travel: 50% to 75%.
Basic Qualifications:
● Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required with a strong preference in Electrical, Wireless, Computer, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Integration fields of study.
● Seeking 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, business development, solutions architecture, or related field.
● Language: Fluent in English.
