Job SummaryBright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Cloud-Native Architect with 10+ years of software engineering experience, including extensive experience designing cloud-native platforms and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will lead the architecture and modernization of enterprise-scale applications using microservices, Kubernetes, container platforms, and cloud-native technologies while driving engineering standards, platform strategy, and technical excellence across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities- Define enterprise-wide microservices architecture standards, service boundaries, and domain-driven design (DDD) principles.
- Lead the modernization of legacy monolithic applications into scalable, independently deployable cloud-native services.
- Design secure, resilient, and highly available distributed systems using REST APIs, gRPC, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
- Establish API governance, schema management, versioning strategies, and service lifecycle best practices.
- Architect resilient systems using patterns such as circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, graceful degradation, Saga, CQRS, Event Sourcing, and Outbox.
- Define data ownership strategies, distributed transaction models, and scalable persistence architectures.
- Design and implement cloud-native platform capabilities, including Kubernetes, service mesh, API gateways, identity management, observability, and platform automation.
- Drive performance engineering, scalability planning, capacity management, and system reliability across mission-critical services.
- Establish CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and deployment strategies for cloud-native applications.
- Define enterprise observability standards leveraging distributed tracing, centralized logging, metrics, dashboards, and SLO/SLI-based monitoring.
- Partner with security teams to implement Zero Trust architecture, secrets management, runtime security, compliance, and cloud governance.
- Lead architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and technology evaluations across multiple engineering organizations.
- Mentor architects, technical leads, and senior engineers while promoting cloud-native engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging cloud-native technologies and recommend strategic adoption based on business value and technical maturity.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience in software architecture and cloud-native solution design.
- Deep expertise in microservices architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), distributed systems, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, Docker, and cloud-native platforms.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as Java, Go, C#, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of API design, asynchronous messaging, event streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar), and distributed application architecture.
- Experience designing and operating highly available, latency-sensitive production systems at enterprise scale.
- Strong expertise with at least one major cloud platform, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and technical mentoring skills.
- Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and platform engineering capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Envoy, or Consul Connect.
- Knowledge of GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
- Experience with FinOps, cloud governance, and enterprise cloud cost optimization.
- Public speaking, open-source leadership, published technical content, or conference presentations.
- Experience working in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Insurance, or Government.
- Cloud architecture certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
