Are you passionate about technology and love helping people? Does it excite you to innovate within Azure, M365 & Automation? If this sounds like you, and you are ready to join a collaborative culture, where our people are encouraged to pursue their ideas and turn them into reality, then you could be our new colleague.

Your new position

As a Cloud Engineer you will join our IT Infrastructure and Operations team to further advance on our Microsoft Azure cloud journey and the modernization of our system landscape. You will work hands-on with our platforms — designing, automating, and operating the services that colleagues across the organization rely on every day.

This is an exciting role that combines Azure cloud infrastructure, automation, and Microsoft 365 in a regulated life-science environment.

We offer exciting responsibilities:

  • Operate and continuously improve our Azure cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and platform services supporting our workloads
  • Automate cloud and identity operations using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Automation, and Logic Apps
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services — including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive — and manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and role-based access controls
  • Maintain email authentication and security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and troubleshoot SSO and identity-related issues across SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant cloud solutions in our regulated (GxP) environments.

Your profile

You are a curious and pragmatic cloud engineer, who enjoys solving problems and automating repetitive work. You take ownership of what you build, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and thrive in a environment where priorities range between cloud infrastructure, automation, and end-user services. You bring energy and drive for team results and consistently aim to deliver high-quality work.

  • A couple of years of hands-on experience operating Microsoft Azure cloud services in a similar technical role
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, or Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub)
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Automation, and Logic Apps
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and Entra ID, including Conditional Access and modern authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
  • Understanding of core networking (DNS, DHCP, NAT, firewalls) and email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
  • Exposure to regulated environments such as GxP-compliant systems in life sciences is an advantage; relevant Microsoft certifications is a plus.

Your new team

You will be part of the Digital, Data & Technology organization within our Infrastructure and Operations area that consists of 11 great and highly skilled colleagues. An area that builds and supports the platforms and services that Zealand Pharma's broader organization utilizes as vital pillars to reach our goal of developing life-changing peptide therapeutics. The position reports to the Senior Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations.

Let's bond and be bold

We have a unique culture, characterized by excellent teamwork and strong engagement across the organization. And we want you to help us strengthen this culture.

Making bonds is at the core of everything we do. From discovering and developing the best new peptide drugs for patients, to engaging with our partners or connecting with each other. We bond through curiosity and playfulness as a team, allowing ourselves to challenge common thinking and drive future innovation. Join us and let's bond and be bold.

Interested in bonding with us? Then please apply no later than 7 July 2026, or as soon as possible. The applications will be reviewed as they come in. While a cover letter is not required, please include a few sentences in your CV explaining your motivation for applying.

For further information, please contact Senior Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations, Søren Overholt Nicolaisen on +45 53754277.
