Leads the architecture, governance, migration, and operation of Zealand Pharma’s research data foundation. Owns scientific data models, semantic layers, ontologies, metadata, lineage, reference data, lakehouse architecture, and tactical knowledge graphs. Partners with research, IT, AI/ML, computational chemistry, and vendors to deliver governed data for analytics, machine learning, and agentic workflows. Requires strong scientific data architecture, platform, requirements engineering, and leadership experience.

Lead the development and production operation of Zealand Pharma’s agentic AI platforms. Responsibilities include managing the Claude platform, building developer platforms and MCP connectors, exposing enterprise and scientific data securely, and creating SDKs, CI/CD, observability, evaluation, and guardrail tooling. The role also partners with business stakeholders on use cases, collaborates with cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, mentors colleagues, and shapes the Data & AI technical roadmap.

Build and launch a US pharmaceutical compliance program, including policies, SOPs, training, controls, HCP engagement frameworks, transparency reporting, risk assessments, monitoring, and compliance metrics. Advise commercial, medical, market access, and patient services teams on healthcare laws, promotional requirements, and industry guidance. Support US product launch readiness and collaborate with Finance, Legal, and global colleagues.

Lead DMPK/ADME strategy for complex drug modalities, including peptides, antibodies, and conjugates. Build discovery and bioanalysis platforms, oversee PK studies, develop LC-MS and ligand-binding assays, assess metabolism and binding risks, interpret data, and deliver integrated DMPK packages for R&D decisions and regulatory documentation. Partner with CROs and cross-functional teams while advancing digital and automated workflows.

Lead US HEOR and RWE strategy for metabolic portfolio, design and execute RWD and economic studies, develop AMCP dossiers and publications, engage payers and external partners, inform clinical development, and drive evidence-based commercialization decisions.

Build and run a high-throughput yeast surface display discovery platform. Perform library construction, magnetic bead and FACS selections, affinity maturation, NGS-based tracking, and partner with MS, biophysics, and development teams to validate and advance antibody, VHH, affibody, peptide, and mini-protein binders.

Hands-on protein and bioconjugate purification expert delivering high-purity samples for mass spectrometry and structural biology. Execute SEC, IEX, affinity, RP-HPLC, and CE methods at analytical and preparative scales, support challenging targets (e.g., membrane proteins, ADCs/AOCs), perform analytical characterization, and develop automated/high-throughput purification workflows while collaborating across multidisciplinary discovery teams.

Lead and execute end-to-end peptide and mini-protein discovery using mRNA display: library design, IVTT/puromycin fusion, selection/enrichment, non-canonical amino acid incorporation, chemical modifications, build cell-free display systems, analyze NGS and SAR data, and collaborate across computational, design, and data-science teams to advance leads.

Support recombinant protein purification and analytical characterization for discovery programs using FPLC (SEC, IEX, affinity). Execute established workflows, assist troubleshooting, learn automated/high-throughput and advanced techniques, and communicate experimental results while growing technical skills under mentorship.

Build and maintain commercial forecast models and market assumptions for obesity/metabolic portfolio; run scenario and sensitivity analyses; synthesize market and epidemiology data; prepare presentations for senior stakeholders; partner with Commercial, Clinical Development, and R&D to inform go-to-market strategy and resource allocation.
