Job Posting TitleCloud Engineer (GCP)Job DescriptionAs a Data Engineer (Systems Developer) you will be responsible for supporting Medical data. Investigating, identifying, and implementing data platform changes and developing new data pipelines. You will also analyze and evaluate existing or proposed data platform enhancements in order to process data as well as design, code, test, debug, and document data pipelines. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other team members by providing technical advice and training.
Responsibilities
- Consult with System Analysts, Technical Leads, and Project Managers to establish specifications and estimations on small-scale initiatives and requests
Write detailed descriptions of user needs, system design, program functions, and steps required to modify the data platform and ensure compliance
Develop, code or modify, test, and debug data pipelines to change control processes
Train end-users and assist technical support staff on use of data platform and various BI tools as needed
Analyze and recommend changes to improve efficiency, performance, lower costs, and enhance quality of data assets
Work with System Analysts, Technical Leads, and Business Users to develop and implement acceptance test plan to ensure product meets customer requirements and expectations
Review code quality and drive automation process routines
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
2 years of experience supporting key enterprise business applications and servers
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with: Google Cloud Composer, Google BigQuery, Google Dataflow, Google Dataplex, Python and Pyspark
- Ability to be flexible and willingly take direction from management, project team, and more sr. Data Engineers on team
Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
