As cloud engineer, utilizes knowledge of software, systems and platform
engineering to designed, develop and implement cloud-based solutions, in accordance with best practices and Cisco's security standards and policies. Designs cloud architecture, combining technologies to create optimal solutions for Cisco, and completes plans and specifications to develop solutions. Collaborates with product managers, engineers and security teams to develop specifications for new cloud-based products/services, applications and solutions, and identify opportunities to optimize security. Drives the roll-out of public and private cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements.
Your Impact:
Manage day-to-day incidents and operations across infrastructure and applications
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and resolve factory impacting Platform issues/defects, and application impacts
Network Infrastructure Support – VPN based tunnel monitoring, Network device management – provisioning and upgrades of Network devices, terminal console servers, provide patch diagrams and VLAN configurations
Plan monitoring/logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability, performance and proactive incident detection
Understand the Security compliance requirements and evolve playbooks and patch strategies
Manage Kubernetes clusters on BareMetal nodes
Develop, Configure, integrate opensource platform management components, repo management, gitOps tools, automation scripts, deployment and validations scripts and CICD pipelines to streamline deployment processes and reduce manual operational overhead.
Minimum Qualifications
Skills in integrating and evolving smart systems by leveraging latest AI capabilities
Extensive experience in Infrastructure Monitoring tools, Blackbox monitoring, Thousand eyes, Cisco Webex Integration
Experience and Knowledge of Server hardening and security compliance, CIS benchmarks, RSA and Certificate security Infrastructure Cisco UCS manager Cisco UCS rack server, Cisco Fiber Interconnect
Experience with Catalyst Center, Cisco DNAC, Cisco firepower devices
Experience with opensource tools and utilities like Kube spray, ArgoCD, K9s, Harbor, Metallb, Jenkins, Groovy pipeline scripts, Ansible playbook
