As a Solution Engineer - Cloud and AI Platforms - Software in the Specialist Team Unit, you help large enterprise customers reinvent how they build software by bringing together cloud platforms and modern artificial intelligence solutions. You work side by side with account teams to shape end-to-end transformation scenarios that span developer productivity, application modernization, and secure adoption of cutting-edge tools.

In this role, you use GitHub Copilot and the latest artificial intelligence technologies to reimagine customers’ software development processes from planning through deployment. You connect deeply with engineering leaders and development teams to understand their current practices, identify blockers, and design technical proposals that show how cloud and artificial intelligence platforms can accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and trust. You lead technical discussions and demonstrations that give customers confidence to move from pilot to broad-scale rollout and invite them to partner with you as a long-term advisor on their transformation journey.

By helping customers adopt GitHub Copilot effectively, you empower them to realize their own artificial intelligence transformation while unlocking new business value and innovation. You act as a key technical voice in the Specialist Team Unit, bringing customer insights back to product and engineering teams and helping shape how our developer and cloud platforms evolve.

Responsibilities

Build and contribute to strategic account plans by providing technical and partner perspectives on how cloud and artificial intelligence solutions can transform customers’ software development and delivery.Lead architecture design sessions, demonstrations, and proof of concept engagements that showcase how GitHub Copilot and cloud platforms integrate into customers’ existing environments and workflows.Use deep knowledge of customer context, portfolio, and industry to act as a trusted advisor, shaping secure and compliant developer productivity and application modernization solutions.Engage proactively with customers and partners across the Specialist Team Unit to drive technical wins, remove blockers, and accelerate adoption and consumption of Microsoft cloud and developer platforms.Capture competitive and customer insights from engagements and share them with product, engineering, and partner teams to improve offerings and evolve go-to-market and compete strategies.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 5+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience. Japanese language fluency required (Listen, Speak, Read, Write).

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus 4 or more years of technical presales or technical consulting experience
Five or more years of technical presales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience
Japanese language fluency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
