As a Clinical Lab Associate, you will process specimens for in-house and referral lab high complexity testing, document and investigate specimen-related issues, and ensure effective communication across departments. Your contributions will play a crucial part in our continuous improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, enhancing patient experience, and upholding quality and safety standards. You're detail-oriented, enjoy finding solutions, and are passionate about making a difference in patient care.

This posting is for our Lab in the Dogpatch District of San Francisco, CA, and is a Full-time opportunity. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts and occasional holiday coverage as needed.

What You'll Do:

  • Preparing specimens for testing, maintaining equipment and environment, ensuring safety and preanalytical operations according to procedures and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards with adherence to related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Inventory stewardship and ensuring that the laboratory is stocked with the necessary supplies
  • Special projects and other duties needed to help maintain and drive our operations.
  • General maintenance of laboratory centrifuges, freezers, refrigerators, 
  • Accurate temperature, maintenance, and safety documentation per policies

What You'll Bring to the Team:

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in a detail-oriented environment.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems, various computer applications,  and data management.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions, regulations,  and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • 1 year of  laboratory experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

The target hourly rate for this position ranges from $23 to $26, in addition to a competitive equity and benefits package (as applicable). When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. These considerations may cause your compensation to vary.

Ro recognizes the power of in-person collaboration, while supporting the flexibility to work anywhere in the United States. For our Ro’ers in the tri-state (NY) area, you will join us at HQ on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those outside of the tri-state area, you will be able to join in-person collaborations throughout the year (i.e., during team on-sites).
