Duties and Responsibilities:

The School of Nursing at Saint Peter’s University invites applications for a full-time Clinical Faculty and/or Assistant Professor of Nursing position.

This role is responsible for the education and development of undergraduate nursing students. Responsibilities include teaching and/or supervising students in clinical settings, coordinating clinical learning experiences, facilitating simulation laboratory instruction, and providing classroom and online instruction.

The primary purpose of this position is to support students in acquiring the knowledge, clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and professional attitudes essential for safe and effective nursing practice.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to student success, clinical excellence, and the mission of Saint Peter’s University.

Faculty are expected to provide timely feedback, maintain academic standards, and contribute to a student-centered learning environment aligned with the mission of the University.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $84,000.00

Qualifications

Qualification Standards:

Required:

  • Master's degree with a major in Nursing from a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited program

  • Current, unencumbered RN license

  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical and didactic teaching expertise.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the course subject area

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Commitment to excellence in bachelor-level teaching and student engagement

Preferred:

  • Doctoral degree (DNP, PhD, EdD) in Nursing

  • Bachelor-level teaching experience

  • Experience teaching in an online or hybrid learning environment

  • Advanced practice certification (if applicable)

Skills Required
