As a Compliance Risk Management Lead within the Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) organization, you will be tasked with the development of requirements and standards for the Firm's Enterprise-Wide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions Programs. Your responsibilities will include oversight and coordination of AML and sanctions coverage across the firm, the creation of policies, procedures, and standards to comply with regulatory guidance, including heightened expectations, and the execution of GFCC activities.    


Job Responsibilities

  • Support business functions with day-to-day AML compliance issues covering Global Markets broker-dealer activities and products, including institutional cash products, prime services, derivatives (including futures and options), securities finance, clearing, and custody as well as Digital Assets and tokenization products/structures (e.g., tokenized securities/funds, digital asset custody, settlement/clearing models, and on-chain/off-chain transaction flows)
     
  • Support the sales team through the interpretation and implementation of the GFCC Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer processes, assessment of the control environment, OFAC/Sanctions and client Anti-Corruption Compliance
     
  • Help develop, review and provide feedback on Financial Crime and Operational Risk Assessments, higher risk client types, KYC and Customer Escalation Standards
     
  • Provide advice and guidance into new business initiatives, change management, deals (mergers and acquisitions) and strategic investments by assessing the Financial Crime risk impact on proposed new products and services
     
  • Help identify and assess AML risks, including the types of clients they serve, their geographical locations, and the types of financial transactions they conduct
     
  • Suggest improvements to the AML control process that increase the processes strength while maintaining efficiency
    Implement controls to respond to AML findings that mitigate AML risk
     
  • Review existing AML policies to ensure that they are effective and account for current or emerging risk
     
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging risks and anticipate areas of focus and attention of regulators, keeping the business and Compliance colleagues informed
     
  • Set a positive culture of professional development, collaboration and efficiencies
     
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and provide oversight and credible challenge to senior level committees and forums across CIB and GFCC


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
 

  • 6+ years of work-related experience working within Risk Management and Compliance at a Global Financial Institution with strong knowledge of Global Markets broker-dealer products, services, and client types (including institutional cash products, prime services, derivatives, securities finance, clearing, and custody) and experience supporting Digital Assets / tokenization products and operating models (e.g., tokenized securities/funds, digital asset custody, and on-chain/off-chain transaction flows)
     
  • Expert level knowledge and implementation of programs around GFCC Anti Money Laundering/Know Your Customer processes, assessment, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)/Sanctions and client Anti-Corruption Compliance
     
  • High proficiency & demonstrated experience in presenting and advising senior leadership and regulators
     
  • Proven ability to establish a strategic vision and drive strong outcomes and results
     
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, inquisitive nature and comfort challenging current practices
     
  • BA/BS degree required
     
  • Strong ability to communicate clear vision and direction and ability to lead within a complex global organization
     
  • Ability to assess controls and processes to leverage further opportunities for automation/technological advancement
