Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as first point of contact for clients and walk-ins, providing prompt and professional service with a professional appearance and demeanor. 
  • Clerical duties including answering phones, sending and collecting mail and scheduling appointments.  
  • Assist with gathering underwriting information and preparing submission materials including taking photos of properties. 
  • Account maintenance and customer service including processing payments and printing ID cards. 
  • Assist with ensuring the successful renewal and retention of accounts through proactive service and relationship management. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, maintain and organize digital files. 
  • Assist with renewals and requotes as needed. 
  • Daily checks of carrier websites for endorsements processed, cancellations pending, payments due and other policy retention matters. 

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in insurance, customer service, or a related field preferred
  • Complete required licensing and stay current with training and product updates.
  • Basic understanding of Property & Casualty insurance concepts
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-management abilities
  • Experience in insurance or agriculture industries preferred
  • Demonstrated adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Agency Management Systems is a plus
