We are seeking a San Antonio-based Senior Project Analyst to join our Client Group Onboarding & Transitions team.

An individual in this position will be responsible for supporting the servicing efforts of our Institutional Investment Management Teams. The Senior Analyst applies a risk-minded approach to organizing strategic solutions as the investment industry evolves. This role requires an individual who thrives in ambiguity and can draw meaningful connections across complex, often evolving transitions. The Senior Analyst must be able to engage fluently with subject matter experts across a range of disciplines while maintaining a broad, strategic view of the end-to-end process. They will report to a San Antonio TX based Manager and work directly with teams across global locations to support their reporting and client servicing needs.
Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports:
The Senior Analyst owns and executes the onboarding and transition of AB’s institutional client accounts in North America and other regions or client types as needed. Their primary responsibility is to partner closely with the client, Sales Client Manager, Client Service Advisor (CSA), and internal AB partners to onboard-open, modify, and close client accounts; as well as to execute complex cash flows involving transition accounts and/ or securities in-kind. In this capacity, the Senior Analyst manages and executes tasks in the setup and maintenance of contracts, fees, and account structures. Additionally, the Senior Analyst acts as an escalation point for the Client Group Analyst Team, Client Manager and CSA to assist in solving complicated client issues/ inquiries that require investigation and in-depth solutions. Finally, acting as the Client Group’s onboarding and transition subject matter expert, the Senior Analyst partners with Advisors, CSA’s, and other AB teams to carry out important client and firm directives with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
What You'll Do:
Act as project manager for client account openings, transitions, and closings, including monitoring opportunity pipelines, evaluating requirements, delivering the client welcome package, establishing service levels, hosting cross-functional calls, managing timelines, and driving the completion of outstanding deliverables across teams
Coordinate the execution of complex client directed cash flows, particularly those involving transition accounts, securities in-kind, and/or new fund launches.
Lead client transitions across multiple phases managing internal and third-party teams; ensure that challenges, issues and risks are closely monitored and escalated appropriately to client service management
Liaise with Client Managers and Client Service Advisors and clients to establish and document implementation requirements. Participate on client calls, sharing expertise when needed.
Contribute to the firm’s risk mitigation efforts. Lend expertise and help the Error Coordinators/Risk Managers/ Client Service Manager troubleshoot and resolve errors and incidents impacting client accounts.
In partnership with various groups, continuously review & improve account lifecycle processes. Help manage toolset and documentation, including client welcome package, checklists, and workflow applications.
Collaborate with other implementation teams across the firm to share best practices, raise issues, and develop consistent global processes
Contribute to ensuring metrics are updated and maintained, involved in departmental projects and initiatives, work towards advancing team, department and firm goals.

A Client Group Senior Analyst can expand their knowledge about the Institutional Business through interaction with various Teams and Departments who service our external clients. They will gain exposure to the systems utilized, functions and responsibilities of partnering teams, reporting requirements for this business, and develop relationships with our Defined Contribution Team, Institutional Teams, Legal/Compliance, Portfolio Management & Senior Management.
What We're Looking For: (The ideal candidate should have the following):
The ideal candidate brings broad industry knowledge, including familiarity with fixed income, equity, alternatives, and multi-asset products as well as the underlying investments such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc. Additionally, they will need experience with complex operational transactions, managing projects and have experience engaging with sales professionals to service clients or provide operational support.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Business, with an excellent academic record
Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in a related industry or finance, banking industry
Experience leading projects, including running cross-functional conference calls and managing project plans
Experience with Institutional business is a plus but not required
Industry licenses are a plus but not required
Demonstrate professionalism, possess strong interpersonal skills, and exhibit a high level of responsibility in their conduct
Demonstrate initiative and good judgment coupled with the ability to work well under pressure
