Kemper interns will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences: 

  • Support and report on the execution of the Kemper process improvement programs, including the coordination and participation in best practice creation, monthly metric analysis, ad-hoc reviews, and other audits / diagnostics as needed

  • Ideate and coordinate pilot initiatives to understand and create innovation for insurance

  • Work with management to support improvement plans and controls for tracking improvement or deterioration resulting from the metric analysis and or workflows

  • Provide support to various functions at Kemper possibly including (but not limited): Finance, Operations, Strategy, Audit, HR

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):

  • Junior or Senior status enrolled at California State University - Los Angeles

  • Qualifying majors in an academic area related to financial services or insurance industry, such as, finance, data analytics, communications, accounting, or business administration

  • Non-business majors are welcome if strong interest in financial services and/or insurance industry

  • A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale

  • This position is a hybrid role and may require work in the office 3-4 days a week

  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

The hourly rate for this opportunity is $22 per hour.
