Position Overview
As a Business Development Associate, you will drive business development efforts within a designated territory aligned with Chubb’s goals. You will focus on telephonic sales, primarily supporting Personal Lines, while also promoting Rec Marine and Farm and Ranch products. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development: You will create and implement effective telephonic business development strategies to engage agents within your assigned geographic territory.
  • Market Growth: You will drive the growth of Personal Lines by cultivating new distribution sources and expanding existing relationships.
  • Performance Metrics: You consistently achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals across key performance indicators (KPIs) such as appointments, quotes, issued policies, line mix of business, and profitability.
  • Market Insight: You maintain a deep understanding of the local market landscape, Chubb’s capabilities, and overall corporate vision to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.
  • Collaboration: You work closely with Chubb underwriting staff and field colleagues to implement comprehensive agency management strategies and promote a unified Chubb approach to products and services.
  • Feedback Loop: You continuously communicate insights regarding market conditions and emerging trends within your territory to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Pipeline Development: You identify and pre-qualify potential customers using effective pipelining techniques and territory management strategies.
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Experience in sales, business development, or a related field (1+ years preferred).
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to achieve and exceed production goals in a high-performing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote) or willingness to learn.
  • An entrepreneurial and creative approach to challenges and opportunities.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to professional growth.
  • A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience is preferred but not required.

The pay range for the role is $65,000 to $85,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
