Role Overview
- Own promotional and channel marketing for 3M electrical products across traditional hardware channels and major e-commerce platforms. Build standardized merchandising and promotion mechanisms, enable distributors and stores, drive application marketing and lead conversion for professional-grade products in industrial accounts, and grow sales, share, and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Channel promotions and campaign operations
- Develop and execute annual/quarterly promotion plans and mechanics; manage channel rebates and co-op advertising budgets.
- Plan and distribute POP/POSM materials; design end-cap/stack displays/price tags; ensure on-ground execution and post-campaign review.
- Hardware channel activation
- Deeply engage wholesale markets and retail outlets; roll out model stores and tiered store strategies; deliver sales scripts and key selling point playbooks.
- Partner with distributors to run regional dealer events, community activities, and jobsite trials to drive conversion and repeat purchases.
- E-commerce operations support
- Collaborate with channel teams and agencies to manage Tmall/JD/Douyin operations; secure placements during major promotions.
- Optimize hero images, PDPs, short videos, and live-streaming scripts; manage keywords and audience segments to improve traffic, conversion, and review quality; maintain price discipline and prevent cross-channel arbitrage.
- Industrial use-case expansion (professional electrical tapes)
- Around applications such as waterproofing and flame retardancy for insulation products, develop application-focused content (selection guides, case studies, industry videos, etc.).
- Conduct joint customer visits with Sales; initiate workshops and sample/prototype testing to drive lead conversion.
- Data and insights
- Build channel dashboards; track sell-in/sell-out, GMV, conversion rate, promotion ROI, merchandising compliance rate, and reputation metrics.
- Monitor competitor price bands, activations, and content strategies; deliver monthly insights and countermeasures.
- Brand and compliance
- Elevate brand influence by planning a variety of marketing activities or digital marketing initiatives.
- ensure enforcement of pricing and channel policies; prevent conflicts and violations.
Qualifications
- Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above; 3–7 years in channel/e-commerce/trade marketing.
- Experience in hardware/building materials/electrical or MRO preferred; strong e-commerce collaboration experience is a plus.
- Functional skills
- Familiar with the hardware market ecosystem and distributor operations; able to independently design promotion mechanics and run post-campaign reviews.
- Proficient in e-commerce collaboration and data analysis; capable of content planning and live-stream/short-video seeding.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration; data-savvy; ability to build dashboards (Excel/BI) and ROI models is a plus.
- Other
- Strong communication and influence; able to drive distributor and store execution; willing to travel 30–50%.
- Good oral and written English
