Job Summary


We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This executive will oversee all financial reporting and operations, capital raises, and risk management. The ideal candidate brings a blend of accounting, treasury, financing and insurance expertise and will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.


Key Responsibilities


1. Finance, Accounting, and Analysis

  • Financial Oversight: Direct all accounting operations, financial reporting, and fiscal compliance activities.
  • Strategic Analysis: Lead financial planning and analysis to deliver deep operational insights and variance reporting.
  • Corporate Governance: Maintain a robust internal control environment compliant with GAAP standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish KPI dashboards to measure business unit profitability and margin optimization.

 

2. Treasury Management and Cash Flow Forecasting

  • Working Capital: Optimize working capital cycles by streamlining Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Predictive Forecasting: Build dynamic, rolling cash flow forecast models to anticipate short and long-term liquidity needs.
  • Credit Policy: Establish and enforce corporate credit and collection policies to minimize bad debt exposure.

 

3. Risk and Insurance Management

  • Structure Design: Evaluate, design, and manage alternative risk financing mechanisms, including self-insurance structures.
  • Fleet Insurance: Oversee commercial fleet insurance programs, implementing robust safety and loss-control protocols.
  • Workers' Compensation: Manage workers' compensation claims, experience modifiers, and return-to-work programs.
  • Broker Relations: Lead annual insurance renewals and manage relationships with underwriters, brokers, and actuarial consultants.

 

4. Banking Relationships, Debt, and Capital Raise

  • Capital Raise: Originate, negotiate, and execute debt facilities, equity placements, and capital raises.
  • Bank Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with commercial banks, institutional investors, and lenders.
  • Covenant Compliance: Monitor and ensure absolute compliance with all debt covenants and reporting requirements.
  • Capital Allocation: Advise leadership on corporate capital structure strategies to optimize capital allocation.

 


 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required. Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a CFO or VP of Finance role.
  • Capital Markets: Demonstrated success raising 8-figure debt or equity capital and managing banking lines.
  • Systems: Proficiency with enterprise ERP systems and advanced financial modeling software.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential
  • At least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • At least 3 years in a Chief Financial Officer or Vice President of Finance role
  • Demonstrated success raising eight-figure debt or equity capital and managing banking lines
  • Proficiency with enterprise ERP systems and advanced financial modeling software
