- Manage local finance team to maintain local financial books and records in good shape, for both statutory and management reporting purposes. Accurate & timely month end close and reporting.
- Keep oversight and guide local tax manager on critical tax related issues. Work closely with group tax team on local tax matters, to manage local tax risks.
- Timely completion and support various audits for 2 local entities, including statutory audit, internal audit, SEBI / BSE/ NSE Inspection, as well as XBRL Filing. Manage all internal and external audit issues related to Finance and ensure all issues are closed timely and properly.
- Timely completion of daily / annual local regulatory reporting / filings to local regulators and exchanges.
- Effectively management of day-to-day funding to support business. Ensure effective utilisation of client /own funds for max return and compliance with investment policy. Management of accounting and reporting requirement for new products introduced to India market.
- Working closely with local senior management team (Country head / regional stakeholders / local business manager etc.) on key projects, ad hoc requests, business initiatives etc.
- Lead and groom local finance team, to enable all team members to perform their tasks effectively and as a team. To advocate continuous improvements / automation on internal processes for productive day-to-day work.
- Ensure all group level finance related policies effectively implemented at local level. Work closely with regional finance team to get updates related to all policies to be published / updated. Also, liaison with local departments to implement the latest policies.
- Master’s degree or above in accounting, finance or economics related discipline
- Minimum 17 years of relevant experience in finance team within financial institutions and 3-5 years of experience in CFO or finance department head position.
- Extensive knowledge in financial analysis, local regulatory rules, as well as local tax rules. Deep understanding of local rules in transfer pricing is preferrable.
- In-depth understanding of financial products as well as local financial market is preferrable.
- Strong technical and analytical ability, easy-going personality, teamworking spirit, as well as problem-solving oriented.
- Able to provide leadership and guidance to local finance team members.
- Excellent command of / fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Certified Indian CPA or ACCA.
