TOMRA is hiring the Chief accountant for its office in Senec, Slovakia.
As an important member of the TOMRA Recycling Finance & Administration Team, the Chief accountant will be, together with a team of accountants, responsible for preparing and examining the financial records of TOMRA Recycling Slovakia, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with laws, regulations, and accounting principles. Furthermore, liaising with auditors and tax agents, analyze financial data, compute taxes, support executive and operational teams, and contribute to data analytics and process improvement. The Chief accountant will be reported to Finance manager.
Job Description
Chief accountant performs tasks and processes transactions as per his/her focus area(s) GL. The responsibilities include:
• Managing the complete accounting agenda within the Double-entry bookkeeping of the company according to Slovak accounting standards and law
• Prepare & submit tax returns - VAT ,other taxes
• Issuing, verifying, and processing incoming and outgoing invoices
• Prepare and submit the local statistics reports
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and assets.
• Recording of tangible, intangible, small assets and hedging of all operations in accordance with IFRS and the Slovak Accounting Act
• Preparing financial analyses and reports
• Preparing required financial reports for audits and financial statements according to the law
• Preparing month-end & year-end reporting (statutory & Group)
• Collaborating with internal company departments
• Monitoring and applying the latest changes in accounting and tax legislation
• Preparation and revision of internal accounting and tax directives
Qualifications- Bachelors / masters degree in finance, accounting or similar
- Minimum 5 years experience in an accounting role or similar
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel knowledge
- Advanced experience using accounting software / an ERP system. Experience with IFS and reporting tool is advantage
