The Opportunity
This role sits within the Enablement Chapter where we drive operational and financial effectiveness in Global Procurement by advancing talent growth and development, delivering actionable insights, fostering high engagement, and ensuring robust performance management. Our team is dedicated to enabling better outcomes and providing comprehensive support to GP leadership and chapters.
As the Chapter Chief of Staff for the Strategy & Solutions and the Enablement Procurement Chapters, you will work in a dynamic global environment and bring your strategic thinking, facilitation, execution, and focus to Global Procurement. Utilising your in-depth knowledge, you will work closely with the Strategy & Solutions and Enablement Leadership Teams and proactively identify, lead, and drive opportunities that support chapter-specific and functional projects and continuous improvement opportunities. Reporting directly to the Procurement Special Projects and Business Support Lead, this position is part of a small team consisting of other Procurement Chief of Staffs. The primary collaboration will be with the Chapter Head and leadership teams of the Strategy & Solutions and Enablement Chapters.
You will play a key role in facilitating the decision-making process and enabling governance in the Procurement Strategy & Solutions and Enablement Chapters. You will support various activities according to your experience, knowledge, and general requirements, to achieve the following goals:
You will be the main business and management support role to the Chapter Heads and leadership teams of the Strategy & Solutions and Enablement Chapters; this includes developing and supporting the creation of management support materials, such as presentations, memos, strategy documents, and content as needed.
You will own the development of the chapter leadership team agendas for regular and quarterly in-depth meetings, including supporting the Chapter Heads with individual tasks / special projects driven by leadership needs.
You will work closely with the Chapter Heads in the development and implementation of the chapter strategy in alignment with the GP and Network strategies.
You will utilise your expertise and experience to lead and guide strategic projects with moderate complexity and/or risk.
You will drive the annual functional budget planning and forecasting process for the Chapter, in close collaboration with the Chapter leadership team, to ensure alignment and target achievement.
You will liaise on staffing and people topics for the Chapter, including headcount management, talent management, performance (goals) management processes, and general recruitment tracking.
You will drive and support cross-Chapter processes, including extended Global Procurement Leadership Board (GPLB) inputs and promoting standardized processes across different Chapters in close collaboration with other Chiefs of Staff and the Enablement team.
You will drive and coordinate alignment across both Chapters (Strategy & Solutions and Enablement) to ensure a consistent approach to core Procurement processes.
You will closely align with the other key Chapter leadership roles to support creating a high-performing and engaged organizational culture.
Who you are:
You hold a university degree, preferably in business or life sciences.
You have 7+ years of procurement, supply chain, management consulting, or relevant market experience.
You have proven ability to communicate difficult or complex business-related concepts and influence others (including senior stakeholders) to adopt a new or different view, approach, or ways of working.
You have excellent skills in creating management-level presentations, including effective storyboarding, content creation, and the ability to translate complex ideas and topics into accessible output for various audiences.
You have strong business acumen, including a solid understanding and comfort with principles of finance, strategic planning, organisational development, and benchmarking.
You can navigate a complex global organisation and deliver value on this enterprise-wide category even when decision-making may be decentralised.
You demonstrate curiosity, active listening, and a willingness to experiment and test new ideas when appropriate, with a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement.
You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge, while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others.
You are fluent in English to a Business level.
