Position Overview

We are seeking a Category Manager Specialist to support our Category Management team in driving product performance, optimizing assortments, and executing category initiatives. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals interested in building a career in category management, merchandising, or product strategy.

The Category Manager Specialist will work closely with Category Managers and cross-functional teams to analyze product performance, manage product data, support new product launches, and coordinate vendor communication. This role plays an important part in ensuring category strategies are executed efficiently while developing the foundational skills needed to grow into a Category Manager role.

Key Responsibilities

Product & SKU Management

  • Create and maintain product information and SKUs.

  • Manage item setup, pricing, cost updates, and product attributes.

  • Ensure data accuracy across internal systems.

  • Maintain category documentation, reports, and assortment planning tools.

  • SKU and Brand Eligibility reporting

  • Assist in bundle creation and setup

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain.

  • Support product launches from concept.

  • Resolve operational issues impacting customers or vendors.

  • Vendor Debits - Marketing

Vendor Coordination

  • Vendor Setup

  • Vendor-funded promotions

  • Work with suppliers on pricing, samples, product information, and documentation.

  • Vendor summit follow-up.

  • Participate in vendor follow-up calls with Delsey, Playseat, Panasonic, and other suppliers.

  • Focus primarily on Holiday and assist with other categories as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, product management, or data analysis (internships included)
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
