The Entry Level Powertrain Designer position is responsible for creating designs and drawings in NX for Powertrain and Powertrain related components and assemblies. The entry level designer will have involvement in the entire design process, from conceptual model creation to production level detailing. There will be considerable involvement and responsibility in the design layout, creation, and maintenance of NX CAD models, 2D drawings, and tolerance stack-up's. This activity also includes working with and supporting design leaders and designers when required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent design related training
- Training or work experience in NX automotive design
- Training or work experience with NX parametric solid modeling and drawing creation
- Basic understanding of vehicles and the vehicle assembly process
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (i.e. casting, forging, machining, stamping)
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- PC Skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working on or completed a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or a technology related discipline (3.0 GPA min.)
- 1+ years of related experience
- Good understanding of NX, Teamcenter, Vis Pro/Mockup
- Strong written and oral communications
