Main Purpose:
You will be responsible for preparing the financial outlook of Cartier and supporting analyses to explain underlying business dynamics. In addition to working to create the budget, forecasts, financial models and related analyses, your role will be responsible for developing relationships with the Cartier Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain and Store Planning teams as well as the AVP of FP&A for Cartier South America to assist them in analyzing the business.
This role requires strong communication skills and significant interaction and relationship building with key stakeholders across the organization, this role provides broad exposure and the key decision-making processes across multiple departments.
You will collaborate continuously with the Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Controls teams. To ensure accurate financial reporting, cross-functional activities with Controllers on the team will be conducted during the monthly accounting close. A key responsibility is the implementation of consistent controlling practices and procedures across all Maisons, adhering to Group-mandated regulations.
Key Hard Skills:
- Financial Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or other relevant field.
- 1O + years of FP&A experience, preferably in a large, multinational, publicly traded company environment. – JDM comment: most of the candidates that I have seen have only experience with SME companies or start up. We should try target candidates from larger, multinational environments.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate finance and accounting concepts, particularly IFRS
- Proficiency with financial planning processes:
- Direct involvement in full financial planning cycles (annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning)
- Experience designing, building, or enhancing financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally (with brand teams) to gather inputs and build comprehensive financial plans
- Track record of identifying and implementing improvements to planning processes and forecast accuracy
- Hands-on experience with dedicated financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan)
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable financial targets
- Strong analytical skills, highly data-driven:
- Ability to identify and explain financial trends, anomalies, and variances using data
