Summary: The Investments IT Business Systems Associate will perform business analysis, development and testing to deliver software applications, services, interfaces, ELT processes, reporting and other workflow and management initiatives. The role will be to work closely with business and IT teams to define, design, build, and support business enhancing software. The role will follow modern SDLC principles, test driven development, source code reviews and change control standards to maintain compliance with company policies. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong technical ability, excellent communication and collaboration skills including the ability to develop and troubleshoot a diverse range of problems. The candidate should also have experience of building software using the Mendix Low Code Platform.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an Engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-5+ years of related work experience in a financial services business environment
  • Organization, prioritization, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Enthusiasm for using various technologies as a tool to provide business solutions.
  • A desire to learn about Investment Functions and spot opportunities for improvements through technology.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, with independent working habits
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn new skills.

Required Technical Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of Mendix, Python and SQL
  • Understanding of GUI based application development.
  • Some understanding of Investments front office
  • Some knowledge of investments with bonds, derivatives

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. 

Global Atlantic’s  is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. 

The base salary range for this role is

$84,000$160,000 USD

Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes.  Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
