The Business Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, support, and optimization of the company’s business applications and underlying IT systems, with a focus on ERP platforms such as Epicor Kinetic. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of critical systems while aligning technology with business processes. The Business Systems Administrator works closely with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and support continuous improvement across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities- Administer, support, and optimize business applications, with a primary focus on Epicor Kinetic ERP
- Configure and maintain system environments, including servers, operating systems, and application platforms that support business systems
- Monitor system and application performance; troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability
- Manage user access, roles, and security settings across ERP and related systems
- Support ERP-related processes such as updates, patches, customizations, and integrations
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements, improve workflows, and implement system enhancements
- Support system reporting structure (SSRS/Power BI)
- Ensure system security through proper configuration, monitoring, and adherence to IT policies
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Partner with IT and external vendors on projects, upgrades, and ongoing system improvements
- Provide end-user support and training for ERP and other business applications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in IT support
- Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments, and cloud technologies.
- Solid of processes and their dependencies within an ERP application: financial, engineering, purchasing, inventory management, manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems, preferably Salesforce & Epicor Kinetic
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills Required
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Systems Administrator or in IT support
- Knowledge of Epicor Kinetic ERP and ERP process dependencies (financial, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing)
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux server environments and cloud technologies
- Experience managing user access, roles, and security settings in enterprise systems
- Experience with reporting tools: SSRS and Power BI
- HTML and C# competency
