We are actively looking for a Business Strategy Lead to join our Bogota office. As part of the Corporate Business Development Team, the Business Strategy Lead evaluates and manages strategic business development opportunities across Latin America (excluding Brazil), spanning Spanish-speaking LATAM countries, driving sustainable growth aligned with Moffatt & Nichol's corporate objectives. This role sets the strategic direction for business development across the region and evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, and/or joint ventures. They will direct regional market analysis, competitive positioning, and business planning, and is recognized as a subject-matter expert and thought leader on Latin American infrastructure markets. This position engages frequently with senior firm leadership and key client and government decision-makers on future business opportunities, and directly or indirectly manages business development staff across the region. Reports to business development/corporate leadership based outside the country of residence and represents the firm at an executive level across multiple LATAM markets.

- Sets strategic direction for business development activities across Colombia and the broader Latin America region (excluding Brazil), aligning regional priorities with the firm’s global growth strategy.
- Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, and/or joint ventures across multiple countries in the region.
- Oversees regional market analysis, monitors competitive activity across service lines, and identifies emerging customer and market needs at a strategic level.
- Provides leadership in the planning, design, due diligence, and implementation of strategic business objectives across the region.
- Interacts frequently with senior firm leadership, client decision-makers, and government/port authority officials across the region on future business opportunities and strategic pursuits.
- Maintains and expands executive-level client relationships and identifies and cultivates new strategic prospects throughout the region.
- Leads pursuit strategy, teaming arrangements, and contract negotiations for major regional business opportunities.
- Serves as a recognized subject-matter expert and thought leader on Latin American infrastructure markets; represents the firm at regional industry associations and events.
- Collaborates with engineering, sales, and design leadership across the region to align business development activity with sales and profit objectives.
- Communicates regional business development strategy and activity to firm leadership on a regular basis, ensuring alignment with the firm’s global business development function.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, business, or related degree; required
- 10+ years of experience in the Civil Engineering Consulting industry in Latin America; required
- Strong understanding of Port/Maritime engineering services as well as competition in the Latin American industry; required
- Established professional network among port authorities, government agencies, and infrastructure clients across Colombia and the broader LATAM region; required
- Availability and willingness to travel; required
- Spoken business level English; required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Extensive regional and international travel required to meet with clients, government stakeholders, and firm leadership across Colombia and other LATAM markets.
Physical Requirements:
Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel will be required.
