What is the role?  

 

The Business Partner is an integral role within the Group Compliance Advisory Team, which supports initiatives across multiple jurisdictions and trading entities. As a member of a newly formed team, the role holder will be expected to support the design and operationalisation of the Group Compliance Framework  

 

 

What will you be doing? 

 

  • Support the roll-out of new compliance programs and projects by preparing documentation and providing administrative support to ensure their successful launch.  

  • Support the preparation of quarterly and ad-hoc reports for Group governance bodies compiling management information on compliance risks, incidents and key activities.  

  • Assist in the development of compliance risk work plans for new project and initiatives by gathering data, conducting research and tracking progress on action items.  

  • Working closely with the broader Group Compliance team to ensure collaboration on policies, risk management, and second-line monitoring activities. 

  • Contribute to the creation of training modules and material for the onboarding of new compliance team members and the roll out of support services to our smallest businesses. 

  • Support in the design of a Group Compliance data repository for information incl. breaches, attestations, audit activity, licenses etc.  

  • Escalate major issues and highlight where trends exist to Management. 

  • Monitor and prioritise the compliance inbox, triaging incoming queries and routing them to the appropriate Advisory team member for timely resolution. 

  • Actively undertake personal development to ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of best practice.  

  • Keep informed of external industry, legal and regulatory developments relevant to the role to ensure practice and outputs are of a sufficiently high standard. 

What are we looking for? 

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in financial services compliance roles, preferably from an insurance intermediary background 

  • Familiarity with international regulatory environments (e.g. FCA, MAS, HKMA, CBIRC etc.). 

  • Understanding of insurance business models, in particular insurance intermediaries. 

  • A proactive, can-do mindset with a strong desire to take ownership of tasks and contribute to a fast-paced, evolving team.  

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
