About the role
This role will be directly supporting the growth, strategy, government relations, and success functions (“Mission”) at Vannevar as the Chief of Staff to the President. Over the last few years, we’ve experienced rapid growth that has >25xing our revenue and ~5xing our customer base. You will be critical to driving continued growth.
What you'll do
- Partner with Mission leadership to identify and execute the top strategic goals, align team efforts and resources, and proactively anticipate future needs and planning
- Support Vannevar’s cross-functional growth bets and investments, working closely with product and engineering to uncover customer needs, codify our value proposition, scope these new opportunities, and align resources accordingly
- Ensure the highest-performing team members are working on the most critical problems and adjust team structure as needed to meet these goals
- Prepare for key external meetings and events by gathering strategic context, crafting talking points, and ensuring messaging aligns with our business priorities
- Maintain clear and consistent communication within the Mission team and across Vannevar functions on relevant business context, current priorities, and lessons learned
What we look for
- 3+ years of full-time experience in consulting or finance, with experience with startups, defense and national security, or technology a plus
- Previous executive-level exposure via Chief of Staff-like roles
- Proactive ownership mindset with proven track record of “getting things done”
- Grit and creativity when faced with a roadblock
- Strong, speedy written and verbal communications skills
- East Coast location preferred
What we offer
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 cash + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training.
