We’re looking for a proactive, analytical, and forward-thinking individual to join our Regional Research COO team, based in Hong Kong. In this role, you’ll help shape and execute business strategies, support revenue growth for our Research business across APAC and globally, and enable data-driven decision-making. As a key member of the team, you’ll have the chance to work closely with Research department heads, senior leaders and key stakeholders across various divisions to deliver strategic priorities and operational excellence, making a tangible difference every day.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of CSI’s Research business, strategic objectives and operations.
- Prepare and organize high‑quality materials for senior internal and external engagements, including business reports, briefings, PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, and Excel‑based analyses.
- Lead business analysis, market research, and data collection efforts to support growth initiatives and management processes.
- Identify opportunities to digitalize, streamline, and automate workflows using data, technology, and productivity tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee and monitor the progress of strategic projects from planning through execution, coordinating with senior leaders across divisions and regions to ensure successful delivery.
- Assists in managing day‑to‑day business management and operations of the Research department, including performance management, risk control, internal audit, governance, and expense management, etc.
- Facilitate communication and coordination across teams, ensuring smooth information flow between Research leadership, other business units and corporate functions such as Compliance, Legal, IT and Finance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the Research management and operating model, including process enhancements, policy documentation, standard operating procedures, and best‑practice sharing across regions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or Management.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (ideally in business management, operations, project management, or consulting); familiarity with banking operations and product knowledge is a plus.
- Data visualisaton and/or programming skills (e.g., Python) preferred.
- Highly motivated, with strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical capabilities.
- Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Commitment to high standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and other MS tools; experience with AI prompting is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
