Position Summary:
The Business Finance Lead Analyst will be part of a high-performing team operating at the intersection of Finance IT, Finance Operations, and Accounting. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of finance data across systems by understanding how business events translate into automated accounting entries and reporting metrics. The Lead Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise to monitor and improve data quality, validate rule logic, and support production processes and business-automation workflows. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals, and the ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data using SQL and other tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Understand how data flows from source systems through warehouses and into reporting and ledger systems.
- Monitor and investigate data quality issues and reporting anomalies, both off-cycle and during production.
- Partner with enterprise architecture and IT to ensure design solutions are simple, efficient, and aligned with business needs.
- Validate rule logic and perform checkouts to ensure smooth monthly accounting production cycles.
- Automate and execute processes where IT coverage is insufficient or requirements are evolving.
- Support team-owned automation processes, ensuring continuity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Finance IT, Accounting, and FP&A teams to translate business requirements into actionable data logic.
- Build effective relationships across matrixed teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners.
- Create compelling visuals and presentations to explain data health, rule logic, and production issues.
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and sunset redundant logic.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve data quality, rule integrity, and production stability.
- Support innovation and simplification efforts aligned with strategic leadership goals.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (journal entries, ledgers, accruals).
- Proficiency in SQL (preferred) and comfort working with large datasets.
- Experience with SAS or other data tools (can be learned on the job).
- Exposure to healthcare finance is a plus.
Experience Required:
- 5–8 years of finance, accounting or data analysis experience, ideally with a focus on data integrity, rule logic, and production support.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects or initiatives within agreed-upon parameters.
- Experience working in environments with strong control and compliance expectations.
Experience Desired:
- Experience with Agile delivery methodology.
- Familiarity with enterprise finance systems and data governance practices.
