Position Overview:

As a BDR at Cohere Health, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our business by generating new business opportunities and setting the stage for successful sales engagements. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for identifying and qualifying leads and creating a pipeline of prospects for our sales team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:
    • Proactively identify and research potential clients within the healthcare industry, focusing on health insurance companies, and other risk-bearing providers that could benefit from our solutions.
    • Utilize various tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, CRM, cold calling, email campaigns, referrals, etc.) to generate and qualify leads.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the target market segments, buyer personas, key stakeholders, and decision-makers within prospect organizations.
  • Outreach & Engagement:
    • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach to introduce Cohere Health’s solutions to potential clients.
    • Articulate the value proposition of our solutions and how they address specific pain points in prior authorization and utilization management.
    • Engage in meaningful conversations with prospects to uncover their needs, challenges, and goals, and determine their fit as a potential customer.
  • Appointment Setting:
    • Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads and to align on the approach for each opportunity.
    • Track all activities, leads, and opportunities in the company’s CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaboration & Training:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality and marketing campaigns, and to optimize lead generation strategies.
    • Participate in regular training sessions and sales meetings to continuously improve product knowledge, sales skills, and industry expertise.
    • Contribute to the development of sales scripts, outreach templates, cadences, and other tools to enhance the effectiveness of the sales development process.
  • Metrics & Reporting:
    • Meet and exceed individual performance metrics, including the number of leads generated, meetings set, and conversion rates.
    • Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress towards goals, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Background & Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in sales development, business development, or related roles, ideally within the healthcare technology or software industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding lead generation and appointment-setting targets.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport and establish relationships with prospects.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
    • Highly motivated, self-driven, and goal-oriented, with a passion for sales and a desire to grow within the company.
    • Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, and Google Suite preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
    • Knowledge of the healthcare industry is required, and familiarity with prior authorization and utilization management is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k, and bonus. In accordance with state applicable laws, Cohere is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and internal alignment.
